We offer a 3-month replacement guarantee. If the candidate isn’t a fit, we’ll replace them at no extra professional fees.

We recruit globally but primarily from regions like Eastern Africa (Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia), The Middle East, Canada, NZ, PNG, South America (Colombia, Brazil, Chile), and the UK.

We rigorously screen an average of 300 prospects globally for every role. Our process includes structured initial interviews, migration eligibility checks, and lengthy final interviews to ensure the candidate is the perfect fit for your needs. We also aim to provide a minimum of two demonstration videos per candidate, tailored to the skills you’re looking for, and we can arrange technical Q&A sessions, either written or via video. Every candidate comes with a why/intro video of themselves, any demo videos, a personal summary written up by us, a full detailed resume, and any certifications they have. Afterwards, you take full control of the recruitment process. We encourage your team to conduct your own assessments to further evaluate each candidate’s suitability. We step back during this stage to ensure you have complete autonomy, giving you the freedom to make independent decisions without our presence influencing your interview process.

From July 1, 2024, foreign workers on temporary skill shortage visas (482, 494, etc.) must be paid a base salary of at least $73,150 plus superannuation.

Certain roles require a skills assessment (Cert 3), depending on the role and the candidate’s country of origin. We aim to find candidates who do not need this, but it’s sometimes unavoidable for specialised roles. The assessment process starts when the candidate arrives in Australia and takes on average around 6-10 weeks (lining up with their 400 visa requirements, see below). It costs approximately $4,470, but usually this is something you would recoup back from the candidate as per the relocation procedure (see below).

Our exclusive app streamlines the visa process, making it easy and efficient for both candidates and your team. Candidates without an existing skills assessment or who come from a non-mandatory skills assessment country are processed directly for a 482 visa. If a skills assessment is required, they are assisted through the skills assessment process then are processed for a 482 visa.

We provide a full relocation procedure template that can be white-labelled by your company. This outlines the expected costs, which can be covered by the client or reimbursed by the candidate and all the additional contract clauses that we believe should be in there. Additionally, we equip every placed candidate with a tailored budget plan for living expenses based on the specific location they’re going to, along with a comprehensive relocation checklist (which you’ll also receive). This checklist covers everything they need to settle into life in Australia. We also provide other valuable resources that are unique to Yakr, ensuring a smooth transition for your new hires, along with, most importantly, our time. We are available to everyone we place every day to ensure if they have any questions we can answer them straight away.

While visa timelines can be unpredictable, our track record is strong. We recently completed a batch of 10 candidates for another client in 6 months, from the signing of the terms of business to the candidates’ arrival. Some candidates have arrived in as little as 50 days, though delays can occur due to issues like expired passports or police clearances. We’ll always keep you informed if there are any hold-ups.
